Ch. 1 | 1 There was a man in the land of Hus, whose name was Job, and that man was simple and upright, and fearing God, and avoiding evil. |
Ch. 2 | 1 And it came to pass, when on a certain day the sons of God came, and stood before the Lord, and Satan came amongst them, and stood in his sight, |
Ch. 3 | 1 After this, Job opened his mouth, and cursed his day, |
Ch. 4 | 1 Then Eliphaz, the Themanite, answered, and said: |
Ch. 5 | 1 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee, and turn to some of the saints. |
Ch. 6 | 1 But Job answered, and said: |
Ch. 7 | 1 The life of man upon earth is a warfare, and his days are like the days of a hireling. |
Ch. 8 | 1 Then Baldad, the Suhite, answered, and said: |

Ch. 10 | 1 My soul is weary of my life, I will let go my speech against myself, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. |

Ch. 24 | 1 Times are not hid from the Almighty: but they that know him, know not his days. |

Ch. 27 | 1 Job also added, taking up his parable, and said: |
Ch. 28 | 1 Silver hath beginnings of its veins, and gold hath a place wherein it is melted. |
Ch. 29 | 1 Job also added, taking up his parable, and said: |
Ch. 30 | 1 But now the younger in time scorn me, whose fathers I would not have set with the dogs of my flock: |
Ch. 31 | 1 I made a covenant with my eyes, that I would not so much as think upon a virgin. |
Ch. 32 | 1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he seemed just to himself. |
Ch. 33 | 1 Hear therefore, O Job, my speeches, and hearken to all my words. |
Ch. 34 | 1 And Eliu continued his discourse, and said: |

Ch. 39 | 1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats bring forth among the rocks, or hast thou observed the hinds when they fawn? |
Ch. 40 | 1 And the Lord went on, and said to Job: |
Ch. 41 | 1 Canst thou draw out the leviathan with a hook, or canst thou tie his tongue with a cord? |
Ch. 42 | 1 Then Job answered the Lord, and said: |
