paululum : very small, very little.
tum : at that time, then /thereupon, in the next place.
domus : house, home, residence.
domus : household, house, abode.
inquit : he, she, it says.
quare : wherefore, why, because of which thing.
malum : evil, misfortune, misdeed, crime, injury, damage.
pro : (+ abl.) in front of, before /on behalf of, for.
