anima : life, soul.
non : not.
enim : in fact, truly, indeed.
enim : for, in fact, truly (may often be omitted).
potestas : power, ability, authority /opportunity.
potestas : legal competence.
nisi : if not, unless, except.
quae : (neut. plur. nom.) WHAT cannot be avoided must be endured.
quae : (neut. pl. acc.) those things WHICH we must have.
quae : (fem. pl. nom.) Let THOSE (women) WHO have ears to hear .
