이제 이스라엘의 첫아들 루벤의 자손들에 관하여서이다. (왜냐하면 그는 이스라엘의 첫아들이었기 때문이다. 그러나 그는 그의 아버지의 잠자리를 모독하였기에, 그의 으뜸 상속권이 이스라엘의 아들 요셉의 자손들에게로 주어졌고, 그가 첫아들로 설명되어지지 아니하였다.
