Ch. 1 ¹ The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Ch. 2 ¹ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Ch. 3 ¹ In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
Ch. 4 ¹ Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Ch. 5 ¹ And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
Ch. 6 ¹ <Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.>
Ch. 7 ¹ <Judge not, that ye be not judged.>
Ch. 8 ¹ When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
Ch. 9 ¹ And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
Ch. 10 ¹ And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Ch. 11 ¹ And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
Ch. 12 ¹ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
Ch. 13 ¹ The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.
Ch. 14 ¹ At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,
Ch. 15 ¹ Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
Ch. 16 ¹ The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
Ch. 17 ¹ And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
Ch. 18 ¹ At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Ch. 19 ¹ And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
Ch. 20 ¹ <For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.>
Ch. 21 ¹ And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
Ch. 22 ¹ And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
Ch. 23 ¹ Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Ch. 24 ¹ And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Ch. 25 ¹ <Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.>
Ch. 26 ¹ And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
Ch. 27 ¹ When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
Ch. 28 ¹ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
